As expected, it was a ‘Red Bull’ show at Sivlerstone, which was widely believed to be a circuit tailor-made to suit the RB6′s strengths. In the Europen Grand Prix at Valencia, qualifying had again seen a Red Bull domination, as Vettel and Webber locked-out the front row. And then, Sebastian Vettel scored his second win of the season, after a chaotic race. Vettel was chased home by the two McLarens, Lewis Hamilton delayed by a drive-through penalty and Jenson Button spending much of the race behind Kamui Kobayashi. Lewis Hamilton led McLaren to their third one-two of 2010 in a thrilling Canadian Grand Prix. The Canadian event, which was not present in last year’s calendar, was brought back this season and it delivered what was arguably the best dry-race of the season so far. On a track which caused alarmingly high tyre wear, teams could not get away with the single mandatory switch from Soft to Hard, or vice-versa. The Turkish Grand Prix was phenomenal to say the least, as McLaren picked up a 1-2 finish, ands the Red Bull pair hit the self-destruct button. This time though, Hamilton led home his team mate Button, but not before there were some dramatics between this pair of stable mates as well. A third victory of the 2010 season was forthcoming at the AirAsia British Grand Prix for the Fiat Yamaha rider, Jorge Lorenzo, as he won by a margin of 6.743s with a commanding display. Andrea Dovizioso and Ben Spies completed the podium. He took victory from pole position at Silverstone, as he stretched his lead at the top of the standings to 37 points over Andrea Dovizioso, who placed second in the race.
