8 Crazy Concept Bikes
Concept cars and bikes play a very important role in futuristic technology.Here we will see
some concept bikes,which perhaps we will never ride or even see.
BMW Imme-1200-boxer-sport-bike
This concept bike evolved out of the brains of two students from the International School of design who thought a super bike based on the BMW boxer was a good idea and the result was a 150 horse power monster.A tube frame was designed around the boxer engine with a new head and exhaust.The cooling air flows over the cylinders from both the sides and from the back.
Suzuki Bi-Plane
This was revealed in 2007 and as the name suggests it was inspired by the design of Bi Planes.The Suzuki Bi Plane uses a v4 engine for power and a girder type front end for steering and front suspension.
Dodge Tomahawk
The Dodge TomaHawk was unveiled in the Detroit Auto Show in 2003.This bike is powered by the same engine found in the Dodge Viper,a 500 hp,8.3 litre V10 engine capable of producing speeds upto 300mph.The design is composed of a partially exposed engine and 4 oversized wheels.
Honda ICare
The Honda Icare concept is powered by a 1800 cc six cylinder engine.The powerful body gives a sense of security.This Hi tech hybrid bike was designed by Enzyme Designs.
Yamaha Gen-Ryu
The Gen-Ryu is the answer to a high performance hybrid bike.Powered by a 600 cc engine,this concept motorcycle adopts ASV(Advanced safety Vehicle) features, which includes vehicle to vehicle distance warning system,cornering light system etc.Add to this noice cancelling systems,music player and hands free cell phone and rear view monitoring system using a CCD camera
Proxima Bike Car Hybrid
Something between a bike and a car,thats what this hybrid concept car is.
The Hyanide is potent for any terrain with its flexible rubber threads.With its unique styling,this hybrid bike looks like a tank.The engine delivers power of 60 hp with a 500 cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine.
Honda DN 01
This bike was introduced as a concept bike in the year 2005 at the Tokyo MotorShow.
The DN 01 is powerred by a 680 cc V twin engine.What more,it will also have automatic gear transmission,which can be switched to a six speed manual transmission.
Honda started producing the DN 01 in 2008. It has no clutch,instead will have fully automatic transmission.The manual transmission is done through gear selection buttons.
Will these bikes ever come into the markets? well,only time will tell…
