Chevrolet Beat-The new “Spark”
The next “Spark” from Chevrolet, the Chevrolet Beat will be launched worldwide by 2010.The car will be launched as the Chevrolet Spark in other countries. In India,it will be known as the Chevrolet Beat, since the name had been used earlier in its Spark 800.The Beat was introduced as a concept in the 2007 Detroit Motor Show and if anything is to inferred from the prototype vehicle,we are in for a treat since the car simply looks awesome to say the least.
The Chevrolet Beat is expected to be powered by a 1.2 L Petrol engine capable of producing maximum power in the range of 80-85 bhp and maximum torque of 110 Nm.The 4 cylinder Chevrolet Beat engine will have a 5 speed gear transmission.Another variant having a 4 speed automatic transmission may also be launched. The Chevrolet Beat is expected to be a good looking car with efficient handling and fuel efficiency. The Beat will be produced in India and will be marketed alongside Chevrolet Spark and the U-VA.
If the Chevrolet Beat is priced competitively and also offer good fuel efficiency, then the Beat will sure make it big in the Indian market, especially with its gorgeous looks. As for the other features and specifications, see the Specifications table below.
