Concept Cars from Toyota

Toyota is perhaps the worlds leading manufacturers when it comes to innovative cars.They have the
pioneers in Hybrid car technology.Concept or prototype vehicles from Toyota have always been the treat of many auto shows.Here we see some of the concept cars from Toyota showcased recently.One thing is for sure when it comes to Toyota.In the near future,these cars will surely come out in the roads.

A-BAT

The A-BAT is being tagged as “modern versatility in a compact pickup”.The A-BAT can be called an SUV as you can carry goods but it is also a very compact car.It sure has a rugged exterior but this is contrasted by a four passenger modern interior.The A-BAT comes with a lot of advanced features like a navigation unit, with a 7 inch diagonal screen,Wi-Fi internet,hard drive for digital music,solar powered panels to charge the navigational unit,portable power packs and the display units.This pick up made its debut in the 2008 Detroit Motor show.

Crown Concept

The Crown is the next generation sedan from Toyota.The Crown has an innovative design which comes along with superior driving performance.The Crown was showcased first in the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.The Crown pays at most importance to fuel efficiency while providing superior performance.The hybrid system is a THS II system which has a two stage motor speed reduction device providing you with smooth acceleration and high fuel economy.It also features a TFT LCD meter to provide a variety of information to the driver.The automobile has 10 airbags for safety,VDIM traction control and also low noise levels.The Crown concept is expected to be launched some time next year.

CS&S

The CS&S is a 4 wheel drive hybrid vehicle in which an electric motor drives the front wheels,while a
gas(a 1.5 litre petrol unit) and electric motor combination drives the rear.The CS&S is powered by Toyota’s advanced Hybrid Synergy Drive System.The System relies much less on the petrol engine as it incorporates a very powerful electric engine.It looks like a 2 seater on first glance>The rear sports removable canopies which actually conceals the rear seats.The CS&S is an ultimate 2+2 sports car.

F3R

Roominess,style and advanced performance while being gentle to the earth,that’s what the Toyota F3R is all about.The F3R has a three row seating.The driver’s seat reclines and swivels and the passenger seat reclines to form a comfortable chaise.Looks like the F3R is a vehicle where passengers have so much comfort that they can even sleep like in a bed.In effect,it is a mobile lounge.Again,it uses the Hybrid Synergy Drive System
as in the CS&S.The design is also environment friendly.The floor panels are made from Ecrosein,a formulated recyclable resin and Mythos seating material which does not produce harmful dioxin when burned.The F3R was showcased in the 2006 Detroit Motor Show.

FINE-N

The FINE-N is another example of Toyota’s commitment towards environment friendly vehicles.The FINE-N poses an unique styling gives it a smart and sophisticated look.The Fine-N employs an advanced fuel cell system.The Fine-N has a long wheel base and the wheels are powered by the fuel stack and a lithium ion battery giving you 25kW maximum output and 110 Nm torque.The car also has a lower center of gravity as the fuel call stack,batteries and power control units are placed beneath the floor.It also features an advanced driver authentication system and personalisation system based on face recognition biometrics.
