AUTOCAR India’s annual Car of the Year award for 2010 has gone to the Tata Nano. The historical Tata Nano, became the cheapest car when it was launched in 2009 and sure is going to be a trend setter in the low priced segment of cars. Bajaj and Maruti have already announced to launch cars in this category soon and all this because Tata came up with an idea to produce the world’s cheapest car. Kudos to Ratan Tata and Team for the award.Tata Nano also won the Small car of the year award.

The Bike of the Year award has gone to Bajaj Pulsar 135LS. Strong performance and yet the smaller price tag of the 135 variant of the Pulsar is going down well with the Indian masses, though compared to the launch of other Pulsar variants, the sales are not so high. Bajaj will be hoping to
make smarter gains on the Pulsar 135 in the 2010 calender year.
