Earlier we had reported that the Tata Indicruz will debut at the Auto Expo 2010.True to its word, Tata has launched the crossover, but it will be named as Aria instead of the Indicruz. As reported earlier, the Tata Aria will be based on the Safari platform and will have a 2.2 L Dicor engine delivering a max power of 140bhp.

Also,The Aria will be the first Tata car featuring the Electronic Stability  Programme(ESP)  system.Tata seems to have given more emphasis on the interiors in the Aria. The Aria can boast of impressive interiors. The Aria also comes loaded with the latest technology including built-in GPS,dual air conditioning with climate control,ABS,6 airbags and more. The Tata Aria is not expected to be rolled out for at least 2 months. All the more, after the impressive debut at the Auto Expo, Aria does seem to be a worthy competitor to the Toyota Innova. But initial reports and the host of features include suggest that the Aria may be priced a bit higher than the Innova at around 12-13 lakhs.
