Sebastian Vettel scored his sixth victory of the season in Valencia on Sunday, without anyone getting anywhere close to his Red Bull. Yamaha Factory Racing’s Ben Spies took the first victry of his premier class career, with the two Repsol Hondas of Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso occupying the next two podium positions. Spies was on top form all weekend, as he just got edged out of pole position by Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini Team), and then rode a perfect race to pick-up the win. Formula 1 Grand Prix Du Canada 2011 (Montreal)

Just like 2010, this year’s Canadian Grand Prix was the best race of the season so far (and I guess it will stay the best). As if the venue – Circuit Gilles Villeneuve – was not enough to provide us a great race, we also had intermittent rain on Sunday. Again, like what we saw last season, Jenson Button was a class apart in the changeable conditions and stormed to victory here. The second race of the 2011 MotoGP Championship, hosted at Jerez, was a real classic played out in treacherous track conditions. A number of riders went down, but Jorge Lorenzo(Fiat Yamaha) kept running in the top 3 throughout the race and inherited the race win when the other contenders crashed out of contention.
