Kieron Pollard and Shane Bond were the biggest buys at the third IPL auction in Mumbai, each fetching the maximum possible bid of $750,000. he uber-popular T20 cricket tournament has won one more exclusive rights deal. This time its with the internet giant Google. For the IPL-3 starting in two months time, all the matches would be broadcast live on the internet, through YouTube. Under the terms of the agreement Google will have the exclusive online rights for IPL contents and the two bodies would share revenues from sponsorships and advertising. runners-up, Pakistan are desrerved winners this year having peaked at the right time in the competition. Once again, it was

he tournament has moved into it’s second stage, and already we’ve had some wonderful cricket. The biggest shock so far has been Australia, who has been sent packing. The Super Eights consists of two groups. The first group includes India, England, West Indies and South Afirca. The other group has Pakistan, Ireland, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Teams play the other group members, giving 3 games to each. The top two from each group would move into the semis.

he second edition of the T20 World Cup kicks-off on June 5th, 2009. After the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007, England play hosts this time round. The final, fittingly, takes place at the Mecca of cricket, Lord’s, on the 21st of June. There are 12 teams battling each other for the second T20 World Cup and the tournament follows the same format as that of the ‘07 World T20 Cup. The teams are split into 4 groups of 3 each.
