Super Eights

The tournament has moved into it’s second stage, and already we’ve had some wonderful cricket. The biggest shock so far has been Australia, who has been sent packing. The Super Eights consists of two groups. The first group includes India, England, West Indies and South Afirca. The other group has Pakistan, Ireland, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Teams play the other group members, giving 3 games to each. The top two from each group would move into the semis.

T20 World Cup 2009

The second edition of the T20 World Cup kicks-off on June 5th, 2009. After the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007, England play hosts this time round. The final, fittingly, takes place at the Mecca of cricket, Lord’s, on the 21st of June. There are 12 teams battling each other for the second T20 World Cup and the tournament follows the same format as that of the ’07 World T20 Cup. The teams are split into 4 groups of 3 each. IPL 2 the Excitement is over…for now…

The second edition of the IPL made the experts feel like fools.Whop would have thought that

The IPL is back!!!

The splendor and grandeur of the Indian Premier League(IPL) is back,and this time in South Africa.If IPL 1 got to awesome beginning with Brendon Mccullum’s blistering 158,this time it was a completely different story.
The first few matches have seen the ball dominate the bat.This IPL seems to be a bowlers’ tournament.

We have all kept wondering when a cricket match result has been decided by the Duckworth-Lewis method.
One of the most confusing methods in cricket, the D/L method was invented by Frank Duckworth and Tony Lewis.
