ACER DX650-Dual Faced Smart Phone

23 June 2009 No Comments Posted By:Vivek

The Acer DX650 has a very interesting design. It is a dual faced smart phone. The Acer acer-dx650_0.jpg DX650 comes in a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display at the front. At the back off the phone, instead of the regular battery cover,it has a numeric keypad and a smaller OLED display. This makes tying of short messages and dialing a number a lot easier.Another advantage of having an alternative to the touchscreen display is power saving. The touchscreen lighting up consumes a lot more power than an OLED screen. It also comes with a radio,in built GPS,2 MP camera,Wi Fi,and like the other smart phones from Acer, runs on Windows Mobile platform.
The DX650 is however not 3G enabled and is rather a 2.5 G Dual faced smart phone, which could make the browsing painfully slow. However, the DX950 will cost much lesser than the other Acer devices at around 20,000.
