HTC Magic-Powered by Android
Finally, Android based phones are in India. The HTC Magic unveiled by HTC is the successor to the first ever Android based phone-the HTC G1.As such the HTC Magic is also called as the HTC G2.
The HTC Magic comes with loads of features. With the huge competition in the 3G phone market increasing exponentially,HTC had to come up with a phone to compete with its adversaries. The HTC Magic feature high speed 3G support,Wi-Fi,an advanced GPS,3.2MP camera nad lots of other features. Also it provides you with almost all of Google’s services from Gmail,Search,UTube and Google Maps.
The phone looks stunning with its sleek looks. The display is also worth mentioning. It comes in a 3.2 inch TFT touchscreen with 320×480 resolution.Again, there is the accelerometer and hand writing recognition. The tochscreen is capacitive or finger friendly and features a trackball for easy maneuvering.
As mentioned ,the HTC Magic is 3G enabled with browsing speeds upto 7.2Mbps.The connectivity options include GPRS,EDGE,WiFi,Bluetooth and HTC ExtUSB,a mini USB 2.0 compatible with 6 extra points for audio.
The camera is of 3.2 MP with auto focus. This is where the HTC Magic disappoints the most.A better camera would have been a really good addition to the phone, especially with other manufacturers going for higher MP camera for their smart phones. Also there are no special features to boast of in the rather disappointing camera. Also it lacks a audio jack and an FM radio. Also, the battery life is rather disappointing.
HTC Magic is being brought to India by Airtel. The HTC Magic will be priced at around 30000 rupees
