Palm-Pre:-New iPhone3GS’s Competitor
Unlike iPhone3GS Palm-Pre launched on the 6th of June with no big crowds that formed long lines as that of iPhone launch. Many Best Buy locations sold out the Pre almost immediately. Even without much hoopla Pre had a good first day. First impressions of the phone have been very positive. Reviewers have been impressed with Palm’s new web-OS, which powers the Pre. A key feature highlighted in a review is the Pre’s ability to allow users to have multiple applications or Web pages open on the phone at once, something the Apple’s iPhone doesn’t allow.
Palm’s first web OS based device came to market after much rumours and hypes. This is packed with features and new interfaces. A new feature included is the “Palm Touch Stone Technology”. Palm Touchstone Technology provides a simpler way for your phone to interact with other Palm accessories and provides new levels of functionality and convenience. For instance, the new Palm Touchstone Charging Dock allows connectionless charging of your Palm Pre phone.
