We had earlier mentioned about the Idou from the Sony Ericsson stables. The Idou could really spell the end of the digi-cam era, because this touch screen 3G enabled phones comes with a whopping 12 MP camera. The war for the high end model markets is at its zenith now, with Samsung and Sony Ericsson surging ahead of the other manufacturers. With Idou’s launch, Sony Ericsson has made it clear to Samsung that they are still the kings when it comes to camera phones. idou-1.jpg

Let’s see what this much awaited phone has to offer.

The review about Idou should start with its camera and so be it.
The Camera is a whopping 12 MP (I still can’t stop saying that again and again) with auto focus and a Xenon flash and 4000×3000 pixel resolution. The video should also be good since you will have a dual LED flash for video recording. Add to this the geo-tagging and smile and face detection features, Sony Ericsson has set the record straight in reinstating their position as numero uno when it comes to camera phones. In addition, you also get a secondary video camera for video calling.
The Idou has a TFT touch screen display with 16 million colors, so the display should be great and the accelerometer sensor.
Idou also has almost all connectivity options of GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth, Infrared and USB ports.
This 3G enabled phone also offers you downlink speeds up to 7.2 Mbps (HSPDA) .The browsers also promises to be great with support for HTML/text and RSS reader. The Idou runs under the symbian platform
