Generally South India will be boiling in the summer heat during April & May. But Munnar turned out to be in good shape in terms of climate. I started post lunch from my home, the excpected journey length was 100-150 kilometers. Considering the narrow high range roads starting from Adimali and pit stops on the way i calculated a 5 hour journey, but reached there in 4 hours.
I had booked a homestay at Chinnakanal around 20kms from the Munnar Town. It was all a gamble, but the Silver Clouds home stay turned out to be a decent place for a family of four people.
